Are you curious about the world of horses but aren’t sure where to start? Whether you’re interested in volunteering, learning, or just want to know more about how to get involved, we invite you to join us for a unique event where you can explore all the possibilities within the equestrian community!
On February 19th, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, we’ll be hosting a free panel discussion at the National Equestrian Center aimed at introducing newcomers to the diverse opportunities within the equestrian world. This event is perfect for anyone who’s ever wondered how they can connect with horses and the people who care for them—whether you’re considering volunteering, enrolling in lessons, or attending exciting events.
What to Expect:
The evening will kick off with a panel interview featuring four key representatives from local equestrian organizations, each bringing a unique perspective to the table. You’ll have the chance to hear firsthand about various ways you can get involved, from volunteering and offering your time to learning about the many events and services available for all ages and skill levels.

Longmeadow Rescue Ranch
Learn about the incredible work this organization does rescuing and rehabilitating farm animals, and how you can volunteer or even adopt one of their animals to give them a second chance at life.
Calling Bird Farm
Calling Bird Farm offers beginner lessons and camps. Discover how this local farm creates a welcoming environment for those new to horses, and how you or your children can start riding lessons or attend camps.
Equine Assisted Therapy
This unique program uses horses to help individuals in need, providing therapy and offering volunteer opportunities. Find out how you can participate or contribute to this healing process.
The National Equestrian Center
From hosting exciting horse shows to offering volunteer opportunities throughout the year, the National Equestrian Center is a hub for equestrian events. Learn how you can attend or volunteer at upcoming shows.
The Event Schedule:
- 6:00 pm - 6:15 pm: Arrival and light refreshments. Get settled in and mingle with fellow attendees before the panel begins.
- 6:15 pm - 7:15 pm: Panel Presentation. Our panelists will share insights into their organizations and the various opportunities they offer. Whether you're curious about volunteering or getting involved in equestrian events, this is the place to start.
- 7:15 pm - 7:45 pm: Q&A. After the panel discussion, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and get personalized advice from our experts.
- 7:45 pm - 8:00 pm: Tour of the Grounds. Conclude your evening with a tour of the National Equestrian Center’s impressive facilities. See firsthand where equestrian events take place and get a sneak peek into the world of competitive horse shows.
