Introducing the GHE Learning Center Annual Horsemanship Forum
This spring, the GHE Learning Center is proud to introduce the 1st Annual GHE Learning Center Annual Horsemanship Forum, a new flagship education event dedicated to thoughtful, horse-centered learning.
Created to elevate understanding across disciplines, the Annual Horsemanship Forum brings together experienced educators, real horses, and engaged riders for programming that emphasizes communication, anatomy, movement, and informed decision-making. The inaugural Forum will take place at the National Equestrian Center in Lake St. Louis, Missouri, and will feature a two-day clinic focused on bit and bridle fitting as a foundational element of the horse-rider conversation.
The 2026 Forum Focus: Bit & Bridle Fitting
The focus of the 2026 Annual Horsemanship Forum is a two-day educational clinic designed to help riders better understand one of the most influential—and often misunderstood—elements in horsemanship: the bit and bridle.
Titled Bit and Bridle Fitting: Understanding the Conversation Between Horse and Rider, this clinic combines structured instruction with live fitting demonstrations to explore how anatomy, movement, and communication shape a horse’s response to equipment.
Guiding this inaugural program is Stephanie Brown-Beamer, a LANTRA-certified and fully qualified bit and bridle fitter, trained through an internationally recognized, research-based certification program. Stephanie’s work is widely respected for its clarity, depth, and emphasis on understanding the horse’s experience rather than prescribing quick solutions.

Ideal for riders who want to observe fittings, attend the lecture, and deepen their understanding without bringing a horse.

Limited, pre-scheduled approximately one-hour sessions for horse-and-rider pairs who want a personalized, education-focused fitting experience.
Because fitting slots are limited and auditor capacity is intentionally capped to preserve the learning environment, early registration is encouraged.
